Ted was more than a wonderful friend to me, he was my mentor. He taught me to sail, and gave me his expert advice when I needed help in finding the "perfect boat". He enjoyed fishing, and we spent many memorable, pleasant times together in that endeavor.

Ted's favorite hobby was stained-glass artistry. He was meticulous in each production - from his original designs to choosing the glass to cutting the glass, then in soldering hundreds, or sometimes thousands, of hand-crafted...

I remember Theodore when I was a little girl. He was the oldest in the family and I was the youngest. He was always looked upon as the family hero, and I remember observing him in awe. Many years later when my daughter Linda was attending Harper College at Binghamton University, my husband and another couple and there young son stopped to visit Theodore in Cooperstown after going to parents week-end. I found him the garden and of course not having seen me in 17 years didn't recognize me. When...
