I met Ted when I was in grade school. He was a close family friend while he attended Kenyon College. He directed my mother, Marjorie Johnson Hilton in several plays both at Kenyon and at Kenyon Festival Theater and St Albans summer theater. He also directed me in Romeo and Juliet at St Albans when I was 16 years old. He was a good friend to my stepfather, Cliff Hilton. Ted was a respectful, delightful and kind man and I was lucky to have him as an influential person in my life.

My sympathies to the family of Ted Walsh. It was my good fortune to begin teaching at Harvard-Westlake with Ted in August of 1991. We became instant friends and regularly had coffee in Ted's classroom at H-W. He was a remarkable human being with a real gift to positively engage with everyone!
