Dear Coltete, I send you heartfelt condolences. I enjoyed many years of friendship with Ted and admired him very much. His personal response to the work of Morris Graves was insightful and extraordinary - but his passionate feelings about art, and its special communicative capability, was his intuitive gift. I will miss him very much - he taught me a great deal and only I wish that I could have spent more time with him during the past decade.
