I was shocked and so sorry to learn of the passing of Coach Ted Duckett. It was a privilege and a pleasure to know him. He was an exceptional credit to the track coaching community. I did not know any coach who didn't admire Coach Duckett. He will be missed by both athletes and their coaches. May his influence and contributions to others last long into the future.

After recently hearing about the passing of Coach Duckett, I want to express my condolences for the Frank family.
Coach Duckett was a master Professional and he had and will be remembered fondly for many reasons. The one remembrance that is closest to my heart is Coach Duckett finding a place on his team for my brother who did not possess the skills to be a player, but Lon sure did motivate us as a "manager". It brought multiple heart embraces from the stories Lon told us of being apart...

God Bless Mr. Duckett. I just heard of his passing. My heart sank. Not only for all of us that met him years ago(1985 for me) or recent. For his family. My heartfelt condolences for the entire Duckett family. Sending a hug, support, peace, and comfort. For this will be quite an adjustment in the days, months and years ahead. One day, might be months from now but you'll hear him in a soft tone saying, "Come on now. The show must go on." A toast to Mr. Ted Duckett. You were pretty damn cool!

Jon Streeter: I met Ted in 1970 when I came to Loy Norrix. We were colleagues for 2 decades+, and friends every since. I left LN because I was invited to build the CS program at KAMSC. We have attended numerous events (athletic and social) together since. Most recent memory was a celebration of Ted and second spouse's 25 Anniversary. 'Twas a back yard gig at their home. Saw plenty of friends, family and former students. He will be missed by many.
