Theresa Fehling

Saratoga Springs, NY - Theresa Fehling, 88, formerly of Chicago, IL, Wonder Lake, IL and McHenry, IL, passed away at the Home of the Good Shepherd on Saturday, January 27, 2018 surrounded by her daughter and daughter-in-law.

Born on May 22, 1929 in Chicago, she was the daughter of the late Florence and Fred Thiel. Theresa was married to Richard Fehling in 1950, spending 58 years together until his death in 2008.

In addition to her parents, Theresa was predeceased by her son, George (Melody) Fehling; siblings, LaVerne (John) Kazmierczak, Lucielle (William-Mal) Halpin, Florence (Frank) Krawczykowski, Fred (Dee) Thiel, Jr., Patricia (Claude) Jones, Janet Hansen and Nora Norcott.

Survivors include her children Chuck Fehling, Pat Fehling (Denise Smith) and Michelle Soland (daughter of choice); grandchildren Lisa (Tom) Glenn, Rob (Jessica) Fehling and Angie (Fred) Bush; great-great-grandchildren Tommy, Tyler and Ashley Glenn, Tucker, Jack and Fred Bush; brothers Chris (Ciera) Thiel and Jim Thiel as well as many nieces and nephews.

Theresa was a kind woman, always looking for ways to help others. She loved to travel with the love of her life, her husband. She was a bell ringer for the Salvation Army, and loved to play bingo.

A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10am Saturday, February 17, 2018 at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 4522 S. Wallace St., Chicago, IL. All are invited to join Theresa’s family for a memorial luncheon following the mass.
