we always think of aunt theresa with her makeup but she was so pretty, she really didn't need any and i know because i remember as a child. she came to brighton to take care of marlena and me . she got up at the crack of dawn to get us off to school, with a nice breakfast with her singing and a hug and a kiss from that pretty face.

Most of my memories are of a younger, vibrant, and funny woman who took great care in always looking great. Among other things I used to love watching her put on her makeup. I remember one time I was visiting her and decided to play a joke on her and scare her. So, I knelt down beside her sofa while she was out of the room and when she came in I jumped up and screamed. Well, she reacted to fast and screamed so loud in return...she scared the Hell out of me instead. We both laughed at that...

I have 2 unusual memories of auntie that made quite an impression for some reason. When she lived in the maverick projects, I remember her with jet black shiny hair putting on mascara with her mouth opened wide for some sort of leverage , looking into the mirror, and i thought she was darkly fascinating. I also remember her in a convertable...maybe it was a red and she looked so small when she'd step out of it, but strong always ...and then one day, as a teen , i was acting out , and she...
