I had the utmost respect and admiration for Mrs. Smolkin.... She is a person whom I consider a great role model...
She lived her life as a decent human being with her good standards and values...
I met Mrs Smolkin when I was Dr. Samuel Smolkin's Personal Care Giver...
She has been kind to me and kept in touch over the years... I considered her to be a close friend...
Her impeccable appearance and exquisite taste was to be appreciated....She looked young beyond her...

I was saddened to learn of Therese's death. My dad was a 1st cousin of Sam's and we always enjoyed the time we spent with her. My warm thoughts are with you. Janet Ginsburg Cohen

Therese was my friend and surrogate "auntie." We used to have lunch together regularly until I moved to Vancouver and then we spoke on the telephone and e-mailed. She helped me through some difficult times and I have always admired her strength and exquisite taste. I feel honoured to have known her.

She always spoke of her family with great affection. I will miss her.
