Not sure what to say?

Wonderful to see these memories of a wonderful teacher from several staff and students I remember from my time at CGHS. I am so grateful for Miss Minehan's teaching. What a privilege.

So sorry not to have realised Therese has died until well after her funeral. A woman full of fun, life, love and prepared to fight for the things she believed in. A great teaching colleague, always willing to share. Such a rock on the staff at Christchurch Girls. And yes the post prize giving parties were legendary!
Much love Therese. Sympathies to wider whanau and friends.

Therese was far and away my favourite ever teacher who inspired my love for history and helped develop my ability to argue my case!
Thank you Therese for being such a spectacular teacher and such a warm and funny human being, you'll be sadly missed

Congratulations to Marie Lockie for the comprehensive and inspirational eulogy at Therese's funeral service, which I just heard online. Therese was my hockey coach on NZ Uni women's hockey tour of Australia in 1965. A passionate and focused coach with whom we had a lot of fun. I will miss being able to pop into no.250 during visits to ChCh. RIP, Therese, after your very rich and productive life.

Kia ora koutou - I want to thank Marie Lockie for her inspiring and comprehensive eulogy at dear Therese's funeral which I listened to later - you captured Therese's character beautifully - amazing strengths and funny idiosyncracies. I was one of the University hockey players chosen to tour with her to Australia in 1965 - she was a hardcase coach -we had such fun with her - and have kept in touch ever since. Rest peacefully Therese after your very rich and useful life - will miss popping in...

Nearly 60 years on from Christchurch West I still remember Miss Minehan with fondness. She took no prisoners but certainly brought out the best in me.

My favorite teacher. Related so well to the pupils. You prepared me for the world. RIP

Miss Minehan was a fantastic history teacher at CGHS and I'm sure I'm not the only one to remember Friday afternoons when the 7th form history class got her to tell the same joke about the little old ladies on the beach. [If you heard the joke you'll remember the punch line!] Later, Therese was a great colleague when we both worked on the NZFUW history of Cathedral Square. History has given me both my profession and vocation and Therese was instrumental in making that happen. So sorry not to...

A wonderful teacher at CGHS terrifying at times but she also had a great sense of humour. Riding around town on her blue Raleigh 20. Caught me smoking outside school, and me putting it behind my back..stated careful Mia you'll go up in smoke lol. RIP Miss Minehan x
