Not sure what to say?

To Mr. Hassell's family,

I am a member of the Baton Rouge Concert Band and I remember Mr. Hassell fondly. First met him in line at a fast food place we had gone to after a concert, and it was immediately evident how good he was at putting people at ease. He always tried to get me to call him Therrell, but I never could -- his quiet, gentle way deserved that "Mr." respect. He was always friendly and kind to me. Got a nice big sound out of his clarinet, too! After he left the band,...

Vicki, Darryl, and Family,

I hope our Heavenly Father will hold you close during this difficult time. I'm so sorry for the loss of your Dad.

I'm so glad that I got to know Uncle Therrell better as I talked to him across the phone lines in my adult years. He was always caring in his questioning of how the family was- with his tender voice. I am very honored to have been able to have called him my uncle.

I hope Uncle Therrell and my Daddy are somewhere in heaven sharing...

My prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort. I know that my dad always thought the world of his big brother.

We are so sorry to hear of Mr. Therrell's passing. Our heartfelt condolences to you and prayers for your family.
