ALLRED, Thomas Scott, age 40, and his son, Morgan Dean Allred, age 7, both of Chester, have passed away. Scott was a native of Greensboro, N.C. He worked as a shift supervisor with Evonik and served in the Air National Guard for six years. He is survived by his wife, Michelle; mother, Alice Richardson and husband, Jim; father, Thomas Allred; brother, Brian and wife, Christine; niece, Leighton; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. Morgan was born December 3, 2003 in Hanover County. He was preparing to enter the second grade at Enon Elementary School. Morgan loved baseball and football. He was a very creative young man and a talented artist. He is survived by his mother, Michelle Allred; paternal grandparents, Alice Richardson and husband, Jim, and Thomas Allred; maternal grandparents, Jennifer West and husband, Frank, and Larry Larson Sr.; uncles, Brian Allred and wife, Christine, and Larry Larson Jr.; and cousins, Leighton, Jennifer, Jordan, T.J., Frankie, Isabella and Zachary. A funeral service for Scott and Morgan will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, September 2, at the Chesterfield Chapel of J.T. Morriss & Son Funeral Home & Cremation Service. Interment will follow at Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Children's Hospital of Richmond, Children's Hospital Foundation, 2924 Brook Rd., Richmond, Va. 23220.
