Thomas and Renae Despain

The Despain Family was a favorite of my family in North Carolina. We crossed paths a lot as we raised our children in the same ward. I kept in touch with Renae and Tom through Christmas cards and occasionally getting together after we moved away from each other. We moved from AZ to Sandy in 2012. Attending Fast and Testimony in our new ward. Tom bore a humble Testimony. For some reason it impressed me greatly and I knew, that in fact he knew, the gospel of Jesus Christ was true. Thanking him following the meeting, began a very close personal relationship. Your folks were so much FUN. That's the first word that comes to mind. We adored them and loved your family. I remember laughing over all the outlandish ideas we had to try side gigs to make extra money. I remember "Royce's Rolls" named after your uncle--it could have been a great mall food store! The picture was 1981--we had a party focusing on two "famous" people in the ward. Lana Whitehead taught swimming and was featured on a TV show showing young babies turning over on their backs...
