My condolences to the family. Tom was a long time member and major fundraiser for the Selma Cyclepaths. I loved listening to him tell the history of where we were riding and his welcoming smile. This picture shows him completing his first 100 mile ride!

I go back with Tom to the 1980s in Durham – via legal/lawyer circles, and, if I remember correctly, at First Presbyterian Church in Durham.
Our bond grew stronger when we crossed paths in Raleigh at the Theological Forum class at White Memorial Presbyterian Church. He and I were classmates together there for around 30 years.

I write to offer my condolences to Norma and his family. I first met Tom in 1975 when he served on the citizens workforce development council for the City of Durham. I found Tom to be genuine and a man of integrity. He was dedicated to the whole citizenry. We kept in touch over the years as we pursued different career paths.
