Peppler Funeral Home - Bordentown Obituary

While surrounded by his loving family, Thomas R. Antozzeski, 76, passed away on Tuesday, December 4, 2018 at RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick, NJ. Born in Allentown, NJ, he was a lifetime resident of Bordentown. He was a graduate of William MacFarland High School in 1961 and received a Mechanical Engineering Degree from Drexel University. He had worked for Youngs Rubber, De Laval and Gould’s Battery all of Trenton and retired as Plant Engineering Manager after 30 years from Lipton Tea in Flemington, NJ. Tom had worked part time for H&R Block and volunteered his services doing taxes for individuals for the Burlington County Library Services and worked as the Bordentown City Tax Assessor. He was a past Fire Chief of the old Humane Fire Co. No. 1 of Bordentown and a past Fire Chief and Life Member of the Hope Hose Humane Co. No. 1 of Bordentown. Tom was active in the community, enjoyed baking Christmas cookies for neighbors and friends, and was an avid shopper that had a coupon for everything. Tom especially enjoyed spending time in Cape May, NJ and camping with his family. He will be deeply missed by family and dear friend.


 


Predeceased by his grandparents Newton and Ella McDaniels and his mother Hilda Granada. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Lynn Antozzeski (Howe); his children Mark Antozzeski and his wife Karen and Tracy Antozzeski and her husband John Claps all of Bordentown; his sister Phyllis Gaynor and her husband Edward of Apache Junction, AZ; and his grandchildren Robin and Matthew Antozzeski.


 


Funeral Services will be 11 am Saturday, December 8 at the Peppler Funeral Home, 122 Crosswicks St, Bordentown, NJ. Interment will follow in Bordentown Cemetery, Bordentown Township. Friends may call Friday evening from 6 to 9 pm and again on Saturday morning from 10 am until time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Tom’s name to the Hope Hose Humane Co. No. 1, 150 W. Burlington St., Bordentown, NJ 08505.
