AYERS, Thomas Richard – Of Mt. Morris, age 46, died Sunday, March 17, 2019 at his residence.

Funeral service will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019 at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road.

Visitation 2 p.m. Thursday until the time of the service at the funeral home.

Cremation will take place following the service.

Thomas was born in Flint, Michigan on January 30, 1973, the son of Richard Thomas and Marilyn Joan (Champagne) Ayers.

Tom had a passion for cars, in his free time and in his work.

He was a certified master mechanic and spent the last 14 years in shop management.

He enjoyed cooking, gardening, woodworking, his cats and more than anything, his children.

He was a wonderful, devoted father, son and friend.

Surviving are children, Olivia, Charlotte and Marilyn (Rain);

sister, Sherry MacKinnon.

So sad to see the news of Toms passing. He was much to young to leave. Tom and I worked together at GM up until the late 90s. We talked a few times since but not enough. Tom was a great guy whom will be missed by many. Until we meet again my friend!
