Mrs. Barnes, Fred and family,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Dr. Barnes has always had a special place in my heart. I can remember my Mama telling me as a young child that he helped save my brother Neal (Donnie) after his horrible car accident. Mama said that Dr. Barnes, even though he was suffering from a kidney stone, rushed to the hospital to help my brother. I have tears in my eyes as I write this. Janet and I extend our condolences to you on the repose of Dr.Barnes. I have never known a more beloved physician. For so many years, he was one of the pillars of
Greenville.I have many warm memories of him. He will be sorely missed. Be assured of our prayers for him and all your family. I regret that I cannot come to his funeral due to two surgeries of parishioners of my church . My love to you all.
