Thomas L. Barton

Dr. Tom Barton will be greatly missed. Fourteen years ago, he helped me get the job of my dreams, and he has been a source of accounting expertise to our firm since. He was a great professor--an excellent teacher, researcher, writer, and supporter of his students. My condolences to his family--I will remember him well.

I have known Tom for about 15 years. He would have dinner with me at Bonefish Grill and Marker 32. I got to know all about his kids and their accomplishments through the years. He was so proud of them. I hate to hear I will not get to see him again and want to send my condolences to the family. He was a good friend of mine that always was a great to talk with.

I am a CPA who took many CPE classes from Dr. Barton and my wife graduated with her Masters with accounting emphasis from UNF. She took classes from him. He was a very intelligent and positive person. Excellent professor. He took his work as a dedicated responsibility. My wife and I discussed him many times. 1 UNF Drive was his creation. Good man. RIP.
