Not sure what to say?

I am so very sorry to hear of Dr. Berne's passing. I worked for him at USC in the early 1990's and he was very kind to me, and always encouraging.

My sincere (belated) condolences. I will miss him.

We were so grateful that Tom came to see Guil when he was in the Burn Ward at the County. It was a great comfort to have his knowledge and sympathy.

They say that those who come into the profession as healers are called to it by a higher power. Tom Berne exemplified this spirit with his colleagues, patients and staff at LAC + USC Medical Center. The patients and our community here will miss him dearly.

Dear Cynnie, Susie, Katie and John, Our hearts and love are with you at this sad time. Tom was a great man in every respect of the word and we were honoured to know and love him. We were so pleased to be able to see both of you in September and shocked to hear of Tom's death. He was full of life and will be greatly missed by everyone whose life was touched by him.
We will miss him always.
Love Tony, Sarah, Harry and Tom xxxx

A great man, teacher, educator, surgeon and friend.
Ron and Beverlie Latimer

We saw Dr. Berne's obituary in the paper this week and wanted to send our condolences to the family. My family was friends with the Bernes when I was young and we lived in Silver Lake. It is so difficult to lose a parent or spouse and we send our deepest sympathy. Azar and Marylin Kattan

A great surgeon and a true gentleman. He was so kind to me when I was a new faculty member. I will miss him greatly.

Thank you Tom for your generosity and kindness, your contributions to the Silver Lake Community wii always be remembered. RIP.
