Read MoreIt is more than two years later but I did not know about Tom's death. I am shocked and sad. He was a shining example of realistic environmentalism. He was a hero to us at PERC (the Property and Environment Research Center). Richard Stroup wrote about him in his book "Eco-nomics: What Everyone Should Know about Economics and the Environment." I m so sorry.

My dad worked with Tom at IP, and I worked for a summer when I started college. I loved to talk to him about forestry and ducks! He was such a great guy. Prayers for your family.
