Not sure what to say?

I would like to thank all the folks from Mt. Gretna, who have been such a help and passed along their condolences, all the ham radio folks who I grew up around as a boy, I still remember my Dad getting me those huge balloons I beleive he said they were "weather balloons" from the ham fest. As a young man there was also a time a fellow ham, I think it was Roy, about 22-25 years ago came out and shot an antenna line way up in the trees with his bow and arrow. I thank everyone for the fond...

Mark,

We are so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a really good man and will be missed. Our prayers are with you and the rest of the family.

My sincere sympathy goes to Tom's father and his family. I first met Tom when he and my son, Kurt, joined Hill Church. He later contacted me when one of my Kindergarten students, Jason, died of leukemia. He wrote a beautiful article on Jason and told of the many ways his classmates supported him during his illness. I will always be grateful for Tom's compassion during that trying time.

Sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I had not seen him for quite a wile and did not know that he had heath issues. He was always a lot of fun to be around and had a wealth of knowledge. I will miss both him and Jim Zengerly and their stories of traveling together.

My sincerest condolences to Tom and his family. Another WA3 called to the great radio station upstairs! I believe that he got a call from his recently passed friend Jim Zangerle and he said you know Tom it's really not so bad here. WIthout question he was a good listener and a valuable asset to the amateur radio community. WIll miss you big guy!

My sincere condolences to Tom's family and friends. He was a true gentleman and one of my mentors that got me started in amateur radio almost 35 years ago. He will be missed.
God bless.

When I became a licensed amateur radio operator in 1976, I met several old hat "hams" who helped keep me straight in those early days. Tom "Scoop" Bowman was one of those hams. Sadly he is now gone and I'll never be able to ask him "What's the Scoop" and will never again see his tag line "No Baloney." I learned a lot from Tom and could always count on him to be up on the latest gossip in Mt. Gretna! He seemed to know everything about everything. Tom left his mark on amateur radio and the...
