Dr. Thomas Bowman

I will never forget the classes I took at LIU taught by Dr, Bowman. A brilliant educator, he took personal interest in his students and nurtured many budding administrators. Although I am now a retired school administrator, I remain grateful for the time spent in class with Dr. Bowman. Great job, Professor... RIP

I was extremely fortunate to have had Dr. Bowman (Tom) for my first administrative course at L.I.U. in 1986. Not knowing if administration was indeed a true calling in my career path, I could not have had a more shining star as an exemplar of leadership than Tom. I was extremely fortunate to have Dr. Bowman as my professor for three different classes at CW Post. He encouraged and challenged me to be the best at educating our youth. What I learned during my time in his classes enabled me to successfully enjoy over nineteen years as an assistant principal and elementary school principal in NYC. (Note- I still keep one of his assignments because of the encouraging words he wrote while grading the paper). God bless.
