Not sure what to say?

Tom was a gem who always made one feel like they were important to him. When I would see him at Starbucks, he would strike up a conversation and at that moment Tom was engaging with only me. He was a unique, gregarious personality, who was well-loved.

I grew up with Tom´s daughter Kirsten. I have such fond memories of shopping for antiques and home goods with Whitney and Tom that had such a keen eye for design and style. Kirsten and I would be running in circles and playing hide and seek burning some fourth grade energy, but Tom and Whitney were always cool as a cucumber with all of our shenanigans. Mr. Braden was so sweet; I just loved the way he would walk in the door and be so excited to see his Dink. The way he would say "Dink.... How...

My memories would fill a book. I miss my buddy of over 89 years.

I came to know Tom through Family marriage. He had a great smile and was fun to be around. He and I shared a passion for cycling. We went on a few training rides together along with some other friends in preparation for going on Cycle Oregon. Our thoughts and prayers to Whitney and the rest of the Braden family. You will be missed.

April 1, 1972, I was hired by Tom Braden. For the next Forty-five years I worked for Rodda Paint Company. I always felt Tom made me feel like part of the family. Tom was fair and loyal to his employees. Thank you, Tom, for being a great Mentor and friend. You will be greatly missed.

I joined Rodda Paint in October 1985, at the start of an expansion mode which included a new manufacturing facility and expansion into Seattle WA market. Exciting times! Tom was a great leader and friend. TJ and I enjoyed many dinners, Blazer basketball games and cheering our beloved Beavers with him and Whitney. He will be greatly missed. Our condolences to Whitney and to the rest of the Braden family.

It was a pleasure knowing Tom. He was a kind and gentle man who will be greatly missed. My thoughts and prayers are with Whitney and the family. Karen Weaber

Condolences to all his family. He was a truly generous and conscientious employer. One of my best jobs was working for him at Rodda.

Tom was the "real deal." He was my boss from May 1992 until August 2004 when he sold Rodda to Cloverdale. He cared deeply for his family, employees, company, and his community. I will miss knowing he is out there in the world, and above all else, I wish to express my condolences to Whitney and the rest of Tom's family.
