Condolences to Tom Braid's family. I worked with Dr Braid for several years in the Idaho desert on the reactor test site. He was always a joy to work with and run with.

We remember Tom sharing his recipe for shortbread (Kate is a baker and baked some for him), his bringing samples of imported Scottish scarves to show at flying club meetings, his love of numbers and devotion to ensuring that (as Treasurer) the flying club finances were always in proper order, and his high personal standards for flying.

Dear Braid Family:
Condolences on the loss of your father, my friend and a very accomplished pilot. Thomas meticulously controlled the treasury and accounting of the Businessmen's Flying Club. Thomas always had complete control with meticulous accuracy of the club finances. I have flown with him as his flight instructor many times and he was one of the most focused pilots. He will be sorely missed by all of the BFC family.
