Oh Barney boy, the grass the grass is growin, from glen to glen and down the mountainside, the summer's gone and all the leaves are blowin, tis you, tis you, must go and we must bide.
But come you back when summer's in the meadow and when the lawn's are lush and grass has grown, tis you'll be here with lawnmower and with barrow, oh Barney boy, oh Barney boy we love you so.
