Thomas J. Briskey Jr. age 89 of Point Pleasant Boro died Saturday December 19th 2015 at Ocean Medical Center in Brick. Tom was born in North Plainfield, lived many years in Westfield and Scotch Plains before moving to Point Pleasant 23 years ago. He was a Marine Electrical Engineer who became president of Merrin Electric, N.Y. City and Jefferson Electric, Hoboken N.J. for many years. He was a retired Navy Commander and a member of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Bay Head. Tom graduated from St. Benedict's prep in 1943 then went onto the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point N.Y. where he graduated in 1946.
His wife Audrey Passed away in 2009 and he was also pre-deceased by his daughter: Audrey Claire Shive and 2 grandchildren.
Surviving are 3 Children: Thomas J. and his wife Donna of Basking Ridge. Rose Marie and her husband Bob Munch of Mountainside and Eileen and her husband Bill Spack of Arlington, Va. Also surviving are 4 Grandchildren and 2 Great Grandchildren.
A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday December 23rd at 10:00am in Sacred Heart R.C. Church in Bay Head. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in Lakewood. Viewing hours are Tuesday from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Van Hise & Callagan Funeral Home 812 Arnold Ave. Point Pleasant Beach.
