BROWN, Thomas John, “Farmer”, a lifelong resident of Rutherford, NJ, age 62, passed away suddenly on August 6, 2021. Tommy was born in Passaic, NJ to the late John and Helen Brown.
He had worked for the Borough of Rutherford, Recreation. Tom was a member of the Rutherford Elks and the Rutherford American Legion.
Devoted Brother to Patricia Caughey and her husband the late Robert (2014), Noreen Brown, Jackie Brown and the late Kevin Brown (2017). Loving Uncle to many nieces and nephews
especially the Caughey’s the Merli’s and the Stuiso families. He will also be deeply missed by his “Buzzin Cousins”. Dear friend to so many. Tommy aka “Farmer” was the life of the party especially at Park Tavern where he was famous for his karaoke rendition of “Sittin at the dock of the bay”
He graduated from St Mary’s High School class of 1977. He was a star kicker and helped lead the Gaels to the State Championship.
He was also an avid golfer winning several tournaments.  
Tommy will be greatly missed by all that loved him.

My sincere sympathy to the Brown Family. Tommy aka Farmer, was always smiling and joking, back when he was a friend of my younger brother Jaime. When we crossed paths, only a few years ago, he had not changed, and was the same good soul he was when he was a kid, back in grammar and high school. He was just a really good person, which we are always in need of. I am certain he brought a lot of joy and good will, to probably everyone he crossed paths with! You will most certainly be missed...

I will forever cherish the childhood memories with Tommy, Snags and Jackie Brown. We spent so much time in our childhood together. Tommy was always a great friend.
