Tom was a good man, and smart. He and I first met 50+ years ago, on the playground at Mason City's Roosevelt elementary school. Tom was then in second grade; I was in fourth. His brother and mine were classmates, then in the third grade. This was the 1970-71 school year. Tom's mother, Elaine, had previously taught kindergarten at Roosevelt, so he felt comfortable there! I am saddened to here of your loss. I am grateful that I got to see him at our class reunion last year. He will be miss by many. He was always giving me grief when I worked at Curries and any other time I saw him.
