Tom was my friend. I think of him often and I think about Linda - 'the love of his life'. I first met Tom at the Carleton Place Curling Club years ago - he was the guy to 'try' to beat. As the years went by, he was the guy to curl with! Linda was always on his mind - even when he was sneaking out for 'fresh air'. As Tom's health worsened, he and I became closer. We curled together and I helped keep him on the straight and narrow. He had a military background and I had an RCMP...

I don't know where to start. I first met Tom when I went to Humber College. I learned so much from him and he became a friend of not me but my kids (Kevin & Cici) too who he often let me bring to class if daycare arrangements couldn't work. He had a great sense of humour, treated me with respect, cheered me on...he was a huge influence on me. I was lucky to be introduced to both Linda and Michelle - his love and pride in them both was easy to see. He beamed when they were around. I have such...

Dear Linda and Michelle.
Tom was my friend for over forty years. We shared canoeing, curling, bridge, and golfing together. He was a Professor and Co-ordinator of Public Relations at Humber College in Etobicoke. We were so close that his students sometimes called me Gary and my students called him Tom. What a tremendous loss. Tom also shared military stories with me - he was a retired Major in the Canadian Armed Forces. My deepest condolences to you both.

A friend for almost 40 years. fellow teacher, golfing, canoeing and curling buddy - and a bridge partner. After leaving the military Tom worked in PR in the oil industry and was a Professor and Co-ordinator of the Public Relations Program at Humber College in Etobicoke where we became the closest of friends. So close that his students called me Tom and my students called him Gary. Thomas Browne was also a Retired Major of the Canadian Armed Forces. I miss him and will continue to do so.
