Still missing this interesting and great guy, I know others are too!

Happy Beloved Birthday, Mr. Bruton! I will forever regret not ever wishing you Happy Birthday during your lengthy and long-lived Life of living and immediately admit that I forgot the day you died on and that in my vague memory of your passing, remembered you died today! Happy Birthday in this Belated Memorium!

Still remembering this great guy!

Just now watching the Blue Bird You Tube video with the Juke Jumpers when I notice a comment of Sumter's passing. What a loss to FTW and his many music fans. I made the Blue Bird my World Headquarters around 1981 till about late 85 and saw them play most every weekend. Never grew tired of those guys. I'm sure Heaven is rocking every Saturday night. Rest in Peace Sir!

My sincerest condolences to friends & family...my we each find comfort in our cherished memories & find strength in the companionship who share a sense of loss...May the Lord keep you... from Elizabeth T. Clark (formally of N.Richland Hills,Texas.).

Sumter was such a great guy. I was blessed to have him play at our little place the 6th Street Grill several times as well as his equally missed brother Stephen. Sumter will be missed by many.

My condolences to anyone who ever knew Sump. I will never forget the countless stories he told and the fabulous people he shared with me and my family. A Fort Worth treasure without measure. A huge piece of our hearts have gone with him.
