Thomas E. Burd, 62, of Plainfield Township, PA, passed away, Wednesday, May 1, 2019, at his residence. He was the husband of Elizabeth M. (Hockenburg) Burd.
Born in Middle Valley, NJ, on March 4, 1957, he was the son of late Ernest and Lillian (Baumgartner) Burd.
He was employed as a corrections officer at the Annandale Correctional Facility, Annandale, NJ.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Stacey L. Burd of Chuluota, FL, and Samantha T.E. Burd, of Nazareth, PA; a grandson, Anthony Gangale, Jr.; a brother, Ernest Burd of Long Valley, NJ, and two sisters, Leeann Weaver of Spring Hill, FL, and Laura Garris of New Jersey.
Funeral services will be private. The Ruggiero Funeral Home, LLC, Pen Argyl, PA, is in charge of arrangements.
