Not sure what to say?

From the time I remembar knowing you as "Uncle Burt", you were my favorite uncle. I was talking abou you just yesterday. You are kind, sweet, a great dad, grandad, uncle, and friend, just an awesome person. We love you and miss you. Lata, TataHusla

To the Burt family, I was saddened to hear of Mr. Burt's demise yesterday evening at a dinner with my NSU family. I just casually asked how he was doing thinking I would get a response of a recovery. I was not prepared for the response. My prayers go out to you. It won't be the same at the NSU basketball games where we all sat in the same sections for years or during the MEAC basketball tournament where we could be guaranteed some good food and vivid reminiscing of the "good ole days". ...

To the Burt Family,
I was so sorry to hear of your loss. I wish I had known sooner, but your have been in my prayers. Continue to seek strength from the Lord for he will be provide. To Derek, I know it has been a rough road, but just know that the Lord is in control. I had not seen you since high school, but I would ask your Mom how you are doing. Continue to be prayerful and hang in there! You all are in my prayers. Be Blessed.

We prayed for you last night, that the comforter would give you a peace that will surpass all understanding. Our hearts are heavy knowing that we can not be there for you. Continue to trust in God, hold on to his unchanging hand. We love you all. God bless.

mY PRAYERS ARE WITH THE ENTIRE bURT FAMILY.

Sister Burt, you have my deepest sympathy and prayers. I came to the funeral home at 6 yesterday and could not get in the parking lot. This is a sign that you and Brother Burt are well loved. Blessing and Comfort, Elder Cecilia Williams

I will truly miss Uncle Burt. I will always remember him for his laughter and love for sports. I remember my dad and I always stopping by Uncle Burt and Aunt Bev's house first. And every time we went to Norfolk, Uncle Burt would always had a game on. Stay strong family God's got you..
