Dr. Calcaterra saved my 9 year old son's life way back in the late 70's. A large tumor on orbit of eye. He was just a nice and kind man, we will never forget him.

I was a patient of Dr. Calcaterra. I had to have my thyroid removed back in 2000 and my spouse who is an MD found him through her contacts as the best surgeon. He did a wonderful job on me and I was glad we found him. I am sorry the medical professional lost a wonderful man. My condolences to his family.

Dr. Calcaterra was my cancer surgeon at UCLA. He performed two surgeries on my neck. I just found out today he passed away. I will remember Dr. Calcaterra's kindness and calm demeanor. I am so sad and so very sorry for your loss. The world lost a great doctor and an incredible human.

I have the honor of being one of the residents Dr. C trained at UCLA. Such a gentleman and an amazing surgeon. He had the unique ability to be naturally intimidating yet gentle and sweet at the same time.

Dr. C was my attending at UCLA when I was an ENT Resident. He was a prolific reader and author and an excellent instructor in surgery. His knowledge and kindness will be sorely missed.
