Not sure what to say?

I have so many great memories of friendship with Tom and his family. We met at St. Mel High School in 1960 and remained friends forever. Tom was always a good and caring friend. May he rest in peace.

I often remember all the good times that I shared with Tom and with his family. He was a good friend going back to our days at St. Mel High School. The parties at his parents' home on Austin were legendary are still talked about today. Tom will always be alive in my memories. He was the "Bestest" of friends.

Two summers in a row Tom, myself and few other friends rented a cottage in Lake Geneva, Wisconsin. Sitting out on a boat we solved all the problems of the world. I give anything to be sitting in a boat with right now solving the problems or the world and enjoying a wee bit of Irish or a guinness.

I was in NYC for the Big East BB Tournament last week and as I walked around Manhattane, I remembered the good times Tom and I shared in that city. I drove to/from NYC with Tom more than once. I remember his wedding on Staten Island and his Funeral Mass back here. Except for my brother Kevin Savage, the same guys were at both. I think of Tom, my brother Kevin and Chuck Berg and all the good times we shared. I hope those three are keeping an eye on the rest of us down here.

Thinking about Tom today as we get closer to the anniversary of his passing. I drove to/from New York/Chicago with Tom for a week's holiday in NYC. We had a grand time exploring the city and the World's Fair. Another time I drove from NYC straight to Chicago so Tom could spend a weekend with his family while he was in the service. The memories of all the good times we shared over the years reminds of what a good friend Tom was and still is as I know he is looking down on me and keeping...

Tom was the "Bestest" of friends. We met when we were only 14 as freshmen at St. Mel HS. We stood up at one another's weddings. We played together and vacationed together. I will continue to tell stories of Tom so that he will always remain alive in our memories. May his soul rest in peace and may he help his friends get to heaven to meet him there.

At the January 2016 St. Mel reunion I sat next to Tom and asked why he didn't have a beer. He said that the medications for his back precluded any drinking. He never let on to the suffering he was enduring. Tom was a good man and true gentleman.

Mr. Carr was hands down the BEST softball coach ever. May he RIP. Prayers and hugs to the whole Carr family.

Tom and I graduated from STA in 1958 together. We saw each other 4 years ago at a 50 year reunion and had a great time "remembering" STA and HS. May he rest in peace. His family will be in my prayers.
