Not sure what to say?

Tom was my squad leader in co C /1st Ranger BN. From the beginning in Sept, 1974 til I went to Ranger school in Sept of 75 and moved to another platoon as a Sgt. He was a humble and great leader that welcomed me from the beginning. I last spoke to him in 1992 by phone and he was working in NYC and living in Pa. It's obvious he was a warrior till the end. Blessings to his family.

I am very sorry for your loss, although I never served directly with MSG Carter, I was deployed at the same time with the 81st Brigade Combat Team. I have been promoted a few times since those days and would really like a photo of MSG Carter. We recognize his loss on our State's website and are doing a tribute run to the 27 Soldiers that have lost their life since 9/11. I would love to be able to update our website with a photo of MSG Carter. Please reach to to SGM Hagemeier via telephone...

He was the perfect representative of the United States of America. Strong in the face of fear, wise from his time in service, and a good man. His sacrifice will serve future generations for many years to come.

Thank you "Silent Warrior"

To your family, may God be with you and never let you go. For you, thank you for what you gave, and what you will continue to give.

In Loving Memory Of MSG Carter:

MSG Carter is a man to model oneself after. In the Military and Executive Protection industry, it's easy to find gung-ho operators who are good at what they do... and who aren't afraid to remind you of that. It's difficult to find (in that group) folks who are excellent instructors. And from the excellent, it's very difficult to find a confident, low-key, passionate instructor who's not out to prove himself - but is out to improve his students....

To the family of Mr. Thomas Carter:

My deepest sympathies go out to you and your loved ones. Your loss is shared among many. I know you've heard this time and again... but I want to emphasize how special Tommy's work was and how it influenced many folks... in a positive way.

As a "little guy" in the Executive Protection world and as a former soldier... Tommy's training kept me smart, calm and in one piece on a few occassions.

My heart and best...

I've never met Tom before, but I know that he made some instructional videos on self-protection through the company TRS in which I'm a regular customer, and through a martial arts forum posted by Christophe Clugston, a highly trained martial artist who is a closed friend of Tom. I first found out about Tom's death from Christophe's forum, and just tonight I saw that TRS made a tribute to Tom through their website. It is very sad that he got killed in Iraq, very unfortunate that good people...

Because of men like Tommy Carter Jr., this world is and always will be a safer place. I will always remember his teachings even though we never once met. I'm a better man becuase of him. Rest in peace soldier.
