Obituary

Thomas Loren Cassidy, of Greater Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Tucson, AZ, Rochester, MN, Waupaca, Weyauwega, Deerfield and Madison, WI, was born on May 15, 1964 in Madison, Wisconsin, to the late Lois M Evory and Ronald E Cassidy. Tom passed away at age 54 on September 27, 2018 after a lifetime of illness.

Tom graduated from Weyauwega-Fremont High School in 1982 and attended Fox Valley and Rochester Technical Colleges. He was a Computer Technician at Avnet until retiring in 2015. He previously worked at Ventana Medical Systems and IBM.

Tom was a loving brother to Jeffrey (Kristin) Cassidy and Kathryn (Thomas Hanks) Cassidy; wonderful uncle to Ryan (Elizabeth) Cassidy, Aaron Arcuri, Megan (Kyle Fitch) Cassidy and Alex Arcuri; and adored by great nephew Lincoln Cassidy. Tom was looking forward to meeting great-nephew Oliver Thomas Cassidy (due November 2018).

He is further survived by his stepfather, Clifton P Finger, many aunts, uncles and cousins, especially cousin Mike Cassidy. He also leaves behind his adored "Stinkin' Mutts": Pelos, Molly and Lilyhammer.

Tom loved restoring the family's 1930 Model A Ford, traveling the world, especially to Las Vegas, Rochester, MN and Wisconsin to visit family and friends. He enjoyed supporting the Wisconsin Badgers, the Minnesota Viking, and any team playing against the Green Bay Packers. He also took great pride completing projects around the house. He was a great brother, uncle and friend, that enjoyed life and knew how to "Live His Dash"! He will be missed by so many.

To Tom's friends in the Arizona area, please join his family for a celebration of life on Saturday, October 20 from 4:30pm to 10:00 p.m. at his brother's home in Sun City West. Please RSVP to [email protected], for additional details and so that arrangements can be made to accommodate all who wish to attend.

A second celebration of life will be held in Wisconsin at a later date. For those wishing to be notified, please email us at [email protected] for details when they become available.

Tom was my good friend when we lived as neighbors on Via Entrada Apartments. I loved his quirky sense of humor, his quotes, and walking the trail with him. We also went out briefly. We shared some good ttogetherness. I was saddened to hear that he passed away. Tom lived life to the fullest and was a great fella!

I work for IBM out of New York City. I met Tom in December 2000 at the IBM Plant in Ireland. We were there to get all the machines out by the end of the year. I was there for 4 week helping out. When we were in Ireland after work we went site seeing. It was Tom,Dwayne,Me . The 3 of us had a really great time. The steering wheel was on the rightside I said Tom I can’t drive this car. Tom said he will drive. We drove to different places in Ireland. The beautiful sites and Castles we saw. We all...
