DR. THOMAS E. CHADDOCK

My heartfelt sympathy to all Tom's family. I knew him from Independence Junior and High School and remember what a kind, decent, and gentle man he was then. He was from a wonderful family and obviously became a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. I cannot find the words to express my sense of loss at Tom's passing. From the time I arrived at Cheyney in 1997 to my first year as department chair in 2005 - Tom was a trusted mentor and friend. He was loved by his students, and was an active chair of the evaluation committee for his junior colleagues. There are a number of us who owe our easy passage into tenure to Tom's vigilance. I will miss him a lot.

Dr. Thomas E. Chaddock was a gentleman, my colleague, and my friend. I know Dr. Chaddock primarily from his place of employment as a college professor of psychology in the Department of Social & Behavioral Sciences at Cheyney University. My deepest condolences to you, Nancy, and the entire family on the loss of your beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother. Tom was a supportive and helpful mentor to me when I began my career at Cheyney ten years ago. He was a dedicated professor and admired colleague. I hope that your wonderful memories shared together will sustain you through this difficult time and always be a blessing to each of you.

This is such a surprise, I talked to Tom about a year and half ago and he seemed as energetic as ever. I know he had to be one of the fittest members of our department. I am really sorry for your loss. We still have many fond memories of him in the Department of Social and Behavioral Sciences at Cheyney. The Psychology program is doing very well and Tom helped build it with his years of dedicated teaching and advising.
