Clemmer III FREDERICKSBURG

Thomas Franklin Clemmer, III, 47, of Forbidden Forest Circle, Fredericksburg, died unexpectedly on Monday, August 10, 2009, at Mary Washington Hospital, following a brief illness.

He was born March 12, 1962, in Staunton, a son of the late Thomas Franklin Clemmer Jr. and Tomlin (Hornbarger) "Tommie" Scott of Staunton.

He received his bachelor of arts degree in 1984 from Hampden-Sydney College and grew up in Trinity Episcopal Church where he was a former chorister in the Boys Choir. Mr. Clemmer excelled in equestrian activities.

He was employed by First Market Bank in Fredericksburg as a branch manager.

In addition to his mother, family members include his stepfather, Robert Dudley Scott; and a number of cousins.

A graveside service will be conducted 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 12, 2009, at Bethel Presbyterian Church Cemetery by the Reverend Dr. Paul Nancarrow.

The family will receive friends anytime at the residence of his mother and stepfather at 369 Sherwood Avenue, Staunton.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 214 West Beverley Street, Staunton, VA 24401.
