Im not from Deland im from Naples so everytime I came to visit I knew Grandpa always had a story for me, I loved it. Our sincerest condolences to your family. I have warm memories of times long ago whether it was at family get togethers during the holidays, birthday celebrations, walks on the beach, picnics, or an occassional wetting of a fishing line in the river or ocean. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. May the Lord surround you with his love and give you strength. John, Alisca, & Carla Almy

26 years ago Jack entered our family and soon became the leader. He was proud of all his children and grandchild. He loved his wife with all his heart. We have many wonderful stories and memories of the great man that we have been blessed with and he has not only left memories, but he has given us love and laughter. I know Jack is watching over us. God bless all of his family.

Jack came into our family with a smiling face and a positive outlook on life. We didn't know what to think of him at first but he quickly won a place in our hearts. He was always the first one there offering a helping hand when times were tough. Even though Jack is gone now he will never be forgotten. He left us with many good memories and great stories. He was a man among men who never met a stranger and made no enemies. He will truly be missed.

Mr. Colley was my 6th grade teacher at Westside Elementary, so many years ago. I had good memories of him and my thoughts and prayers are with his family.

Jack and I worked many years together in Corrections going back to the Old DeLand jail. Each one will always treasured in my heart.

My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.
