Not sure what to say?

I exchanged letters with Barney back in the 80s as he was documenting the History of the Comerfords. More recently, I´ve exchanged emails with Jane. I´m so sorry for your loss. The obituary tells the story of a life well-lived. Janet & I will say a prayer tonight for you.

Tom we were all three going to lunch & now you are gone! I was so happy you & Mary had moved to Eugene! Fly with the angels Tom! love Mary Beth

Tom... what a wonderful neighbor and friend!! I do have a favorite memory of Tom! He was a tireless advocate of the bird feeder in their back yard! The squirrels were a huge annoyance as they constantly got into his feeders!! I loved it when i looked across the street, and there was Tom w/his trusty, lifelong Daisy BB rifle, trying to draw a bead on a damn squirrel!! Sometimes, he might even be in his robe, as the little offenders began at the crack of dawn!! May you no longer have...

So I am heading for the kitchen for some toast with peanut butter. Might open a can of vegetable soup to honor Tom. What a kind and loving man he was. Always greeting me with a smile and a hug. Thinking of all of you with love

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

I drove by Joe's Cellar a couple of days ago and flashes of Tom were all over. Joe's is a local dive deep in NW Portland. We spent many Saturday mornings there for breakfast, amid the clanging of slots, and the dark cellar-like atmosphere. But for Tom it was the bacon and hashed browns, the American breakfast he just loved--and Joe's was the place to get it! ~mollie peters (Tom's sister)

Tom was a tremendous man who will be greatly missed. Though related, we never seemed to connect, and I so wanted to discuss family history. I met him once over 30 years ago at a family gathering. He will be greatly missed within the community, by friends, and foremost by family.

Tom ("Weeds") to his close old friends. Rest in peace. Will never forget our night drinking scotch the night before your first marriage. We deposited you drunk as a skunk on your fiance's front lawn. Only problem was it was the wrong house! LOL! Chris, Ed, Fred and me! LOL! Love you, Buddy.Dick

I worked with Tom in the 70s at the Oregon Bank and finer kinder gentleman I have yet to meet. Tom was a very capable and talented International Banker. Peace be with him. Jim Aalberg
