Tom was always there when we needed him... adding my patients to his schedule with short notice and "popping" over to Fairview Hospital to place a pacemaker for my mother on a Friday night. He approached his work with an open-mindedness and generosity of spirit that was a joy to watch. Such an beautiful model for both the residents and his colleagues. I count myself lucky to have known him.

Dr. Comerford was my Dad's cardiologist for many years. Because of his expertise and guidance my dad lived a long life until he also passed away on October 5, (2019). Dr. was a kind and caring man. Deepest sympathies to your family. May he rest in peace.

Tom was a wonderful doctor, friend, and overall good guy. We worked together at Fairview Hospital. When my Father came to visit in 1997 he had a heart attack and Tom expertly took care of him in the ICU at Fairview Hospital. I am forever grateful for his expert care. RIP Tom. You are now with your beloved wife in heaven.

I am Liam Comerford and I am one of Thomas's grandchildren. Although I never called him Thomas, I called him 'Papa'. I remember if I did something good he would always tell me "atta boy!" I know that Papa saved a lot of people because he was a heart doctor. I am very proud to have a grandfather that saved so many people. I always loved driving in his car. It is a cool car. I know this sounds weird, but I will always remember it's smell, yet I don't know how to describe it. I also have another...

I was a classmate of Tom at St. Ignatius and we both were on the track team our senior year. Tom and I both qualified for the state track tournament that year, and we drove together to Columbus to compete in my Dad´s 1956 Buick. Tom was a fine athlete and student. I offer my deepest condolences to the Comerford family. Bob Sidman
