I met Tom when he was sitting at a table waiting for volunteers to join Our Lady Help of Christian's finance committee. All the other tables looking for volunteers had cookies and coffee, or doughnuts and cider. All Tom had was a piece of paper and a pen. My two year old daughter toddled over and he exclaimed, "I have a volunteer!" He and Nan were such great friends to everyone they knew. They threw the best Epiphany parties and had the best clambakes when they moved to Falmouth, ME. ...
