Not sure what to say?

I respected ;admired Tom Cooke ; I was a very involved as an Undergrad and Grad Student in Philadelphia when Frank Rizzo ruled Philadelphia politics ;when I moved to East Orange ;Tom Cooke as a mayor and person mirrored what we attempted to accomplish via the Mayoral elections in Philadelphia in the 70's

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.

Through my high school years I spent a lot of time in the Cooke household. Mr. and Mrs. Cooke treated me as though I was one of the family. I have many fond memories of time spent with the Cooke family. I will cherish them always. Mr. Cooke helped get me my first job. Thats the type of person he was, always ready to help. I will miss him and his generosity. His family has the condolences of the Nickerson family.

Cousin Tommy will be missed. We share the Navy experience. His was well before mine. I'm glad we got to see each other last summer.

My condolences on the loss of a great man. As my principal at Cleveland Elementary in Newark, Mr. Cooke would pick me up from my apartment in Hayes Homes so I didnt miss school. My Mom had a newborn and couldnt get me to school. He maintained a good relationship with our family well beyond his departure from Cleveland. I was appreciative of his kindness. Thank you for sharing him with so many.

To the Cooke Family,
My prayers are with you. I know that uncle Tommy will be at peace,. He's led a life well lived. I know he will be reunited with his loved ones.

God bless you,
Barbara Jean Reid
