Tom was a good friend and compassionate supporter of Shanti Bhavan School in India which I head up. I recall fondly the meetings I have had at his office when we discussed the many problems I had encountered in my social work. Tom and Patricia generously contributed to Shanti Bhavan and he once visited the school with his son Noah. Dean Cooley was my dean, he was a great champion of expanding business school education to an international community and a leading ambassador of New York City, New York University and of course the Stern School of Business. We were proud you were our dean and you will always be remembered. Thank you.

Sending along my deepest sympathy to the entire family. I am Tom's cousin, daughter of James Gregory Cooley, Tom's uncle. We had such nice conversations when we met at family gatherings. So sad to read about his passing

Tom was a great dissertation supervisor, and I'll always be grateful to him for helping me land a position at UCLA, as well as instilling in me a healthy respect for small dogs.

Tom will be sorely missed. He was not only my boss for over 20 years but remained a friend and a mentor. I am so lucky to have known such a wonderful man. My sincerest condolences to all of his family.
