While I never experienced the times my grandpa did not have dementia, I´m so greatful and content with all the time I spent with him. He always was happy, always making jokes, ticking off my grandma which was funny to me and my siblings but probably a pain to Anne. Sometimes when I would wake up earlier then I was supposed to, papap would be either out gardening, watching the television or just having his morning breakfast and I would go and sit down and he would pour me a bowl of cereal and...

I remember, spending time with him in the back yard. He loved gardening, picking up apples from his apple trees. Playing baseball in the back yard with us. In the mornings our Mummum(Ann) would always make us yummy breakfests that we would sit at the counter and eat with my Pappap. It was hard during those last few years. He was battling dementia. As I am glad that he isn't fighting that anymore, doesn't have to deal with pain. I'm gonna miss him. I love you PAPPAP- Wiley Cossick.
