CREWS, Thomas R. "Tommy," 58, of Quinton, passed away Friday, August 21, 2009. He was preceded in death by his parents, Thomas R. Crews Jr. and Gaynell Crews. He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Connie Morgan Crews; son, Thomas Aaron Crews; daughter, Melissa Crews; three sisters, Linda Townsend, Janice Bartlett and Annell Crews; and grandchildren, Kyle, Aniyah and Morgan. Tommy worked hard his whole life as a carpenter, contractor. His hobbies included a love of antique cars such as a 1958 Impala and a 1970 Chevelle. He served in the Army Reserve for six years as a Military Police Officer. The family will receive friends 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 23, 2009 at Nelsen Funeral Home, 4650 S. Laburnum Ave. Richmond, Va., where services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday. Interment will be at Washington Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society; P.O. Box 27718 Oklahoma City, Okla. 73123-1718.

It's been a while since I've seen any of you and I was just told about Tommy. My mom read it in the paper and told me about it. I'm so sorry for your loss. Tommy was such a nice man and your family was very good to me as a child and I will never forget that.
