Thomas Leo Curley, 90, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at UMass Memorial Hospital in Worcester. He was the beloved husband of 64 years to his wife Anna (Ans) Maria (Arends) Curley. A 1951 graduate of Natick High School, Tom excelled in sports. He was a member of the baseball team and co-captain of the division state championship hockey team. After receiving an associate degree from Bentley University, Tom enlisted in the US Air Force in 1952 and served his country honorably earning the rank of Staff Sergeant four stripes.


While stationed in the Netherlands, Tom met his future wife Anna (Ans) Maria Arends. After his honorable discharge in 1956, he returned to the states. Two years and a marriage proposal later, Ans arrived in the US in 1958 and they wed. In 1963 they moved to Hudson, MA where they raised their two daughters. Tom continued his education and graduated with honors in 1975 from Bentley University with a bachelor's degree in finance and accounting. He worked at Fenwal in Framingham, MA for 32 years, retiring as their controller. 


In 1977, Tom and his wife bought a home in Onset, MA., where they summered for several decades spending time with their family. He enjoyed fishing on his boat and tackling home-improvement projects. After retirement in 1992, Tom and Anna moved to Florida. An avid golfer, Tom enjoyed much time on the links at The Villages Florida where he resided. In 2018 he and his wife moved back to Massachusetts and settled in Clinton. He was a member of St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish. All who knew him will miss his wonderful sense of humor and wit.


He will be lovingly remembered and missed by his beloved wife of 64 years, Anna (Ans) Curley; A daughter, Carol J. Curley of South Lancaster; two grandchildren, Andrew R. Caradimos, Candace M. French and her Fiancé Jeffrey Maxim; three great grandsons, Lincoln Maxim, Nico and Luca Caradimos; a son-in-law, Robert Caradimos; five nieces and three nephews. Besides his parents (Thomas L. Curley Sr. and Alice (Kane) Curley), he is predeceased by a daughter, Ans Marie Caradimos; a brother, Paul Curley; and a sister, Mary Alice (Curley) Neary. 


Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Tom’s family from 9:00 to 10:30 AM on Wednesday, July 27, at McNally & Watson Funeral Home, 304 Church St., Clinton, followed by a funeral procession to St. John the Guardian of Our Lady Parish, 80 Union St., Clinton. In lieu of flowers, Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 (www.stjude.org).
