Not sure what to say?

My father, James Doern, was a long time fishing friend of Tom's. I know he thought the world of him and always enjoyed their friendship. They met in dental school. My family is very sorry to hear of Tom's passing, but we are glad that we had the honor of knowing such an outstanding person.

Dear Auntie Sis, Don, Lindy, Jim and John,
Janis and I were so sorry to hear of Uncle Tom's passing. He was a great man and I will always remember the smiles on his face. We were all very fortunate to have Tom as our dentist and friend and we will miss him dearly as you do also. Unfortunately the duplicate bridge group in Heaven has gained another member. All our love from the Macaulays

Sis, Peggy, Don and the rest of the family:
Nancy and I returned from Maui last night and learned of Tom's passing. We are sorry we were unable to attend the services yesterday. We would have liked to have paid our respects to Tom and the rest of you.
With all our best wishes,
Dave and Nancy

Dear Sis and family:
I am so sorry to hear of Tom's passing. I was Dotty Nash in Orinda. Tom was so helpful to my sons, Jeff Nash and Steve Nash, in the Boy Scouts. He went on many 50 mile hikes with them. The boys were with you at your cabin in Lassen. Also, it was Tom who gave me the address of my former Cal Varsity Ski Team coach, Dr. Ed Richardson. Tom and Ed Richardson were together in the 10th Mountain Division in Italy. And, because of Tom, I still stay in touch with Ed...

My dad and I are very saddened to hear about Tom's passing. I really enjoyed talking with Tom at out meetings. He was a very good and caring man and it was an honor to know him. He and my dad served with the 87th Regiment of the 10th Mtn. Div. "Vires Montesque Vincimus"

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. Your dad and husband was such a warm and wonderful man. It was an honor to have meet him and to view his wonderful garden. Much love.

Jeff, Sandi and Mary Mello
