Tommy came to UTC in Chattanooga and immediately made an impact on so many people's lives. Through Lee Dendy, Tommy was introduced to all of us in LaFayette and became fast friends with us right away.

We were all a close knit group living in a small town in North Georgia. It would be no small task for someone from outside of our area, much less from "up north", to be accepted over even a long period of time. Then there was Tommy, who was inseparable from all of us almost...

Our sincerest condloances go out to you. I believe it was Tommy who, years ago, came to help my husband pull his tractor out of the mud. He had been bush-hogging when the tractor unexpectedly punched through what must have been a solid floating mass of vegetation over an underground seep and the old 8N tractor went right up to its axels. My husband worked on digging it out for 3 days with no success. Then one day a young man in his 20's - a Dell from just up the road...

At times like this so many people are at a loss for words but i must say Shannon that the words you spoke about Tommy on Saturday were absolutely beautiful! Shannon, I'm so sorry for your loss and although there are alot of miles between us I feel your sorrow and grieve with you. I know words don't mean anything at this time in your life but faith and believing God has a plan and that everything has a reason, have gotten me through alot of situations in my life, just as it will you. Sometimes HE lets us know that plan and other times we may never know, but regardless, He will bring you and your children through these dark days and the days ahead...
