Not sure what to say?

My deepest condolences. My name is Stephen Blair Banister and I read an article about Battersea, my ancestral home. My father was John Monro Banister. I would like for Betsy DeRamus to contact me. My email is [email protected]
Sincerely, Stephen Banister

I was going through some of my mother's papers recently, and I found the letter that Betsy had sent her about 50 years ago. It was about my visit with Betsy and Barney when they were living in northern Italy. My grandmother had taken me to Europe as a high school graduation gift. I was in awe of everything and everyone. That visit was one of the highlights of my life. My grandmother and my mother adored both Besty and Barney and spoke highly of them. I have always cherished my memories of...

To all the friends and anonymous lovely people who left no contact address but who have sent me such beautiful letters please accept my heartfelt thanks for your expressions of love and sympathy for the loss of my husband, Barnett.
Gratefully yours,
Betsy DeRamus

A brief visit with Betsy confirmed what many others knew - she is a lovely person and so beloved by the Colonel. I was touched and honored to be in his presence for a short while and in their home, filled with many clear indications of their deep affection for each other

You have my deepest sympathy at your loss.
I attended the funeral in Hopkinsville, Ky this afternoon. I am the Vice President of Chapter XXXVIII Special Forces Association. I was the Green Beret with the cane. It was an honor to pay our respects to a fellow SF brother.

I send my deepest sympathies to your entire family. I knew Col. Dr. TBD Jr. as Sterling’s father and found his zest for life to be his most striking feature on the few occasions I had the pleasure of his company. Certainly his spirit lives on through and in his many family members. May you find comfort in your pain and some joy in celebrating and honoring what is clearly a life well-lived. With greatest respect and sympathy

Thank you all for your kind thoughts and appreciations. My mother is especially touched to hear from all over the country people who knew my dad.

Our heartfelt thoughts and prayers are with the DeRamus family. How blessed we were to have known Colonel and Mrs. DeRamus and family during your brief stay in Greensboro. Mike McCray and Rosa McCray Minehan

My prayers are with the family. My father was a DeRamus but not be relative.
