DeYoung Family...i met Tom volunteering at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans And at his VVA chp 18 meetings...i brought Tom to the Hudsonville American Legion post #329 and after he joined the 329...we had a mutual friend with DR. Micky Block(VVA,rip) and Tom lent me Micks book..after reading it, Tom took me out for lunch and we talked about Vietnam and the Problems that Nam vets deal with and the Nam vets children...Tom always helped me... as i am in a chair from cancer and always was so...

Dear Betty and Family,
Remembering Tom from Jr. High and Calvin Chr. High - his quiet demanor and sincere care for others. His country called, and he answered that call and served during Vietnam War. Praying for your family in your time of sorry.

So sorry to hear about Tom. When I think of him the words: sincere, friendly and Godly comes to my mind.

I also remember him talking about his medic experiences while in Vietnam. He was a brave man and helped so many wounded brothers.

You are all in my thoughts and prayers and may God comfort you.
