Not sure what to say?

Tom was a kind, intelligent, and great human being. He was our leader and friend. He was also a great artist and innovator. He will be sorely missed by all who had the honor or knowing him.

Tom..my teacher,my good friend. You will truly be missed. RIP. Len Tait Roosevelt class of 65

Bette and Greg,
I just heard about Tom from a neighbor, Woody McAndrews, that used to know you when in lived in Michigan.
Tom was just a great cousin. A remember our visits to the lake when I was little and my visit to see you when I was there several years ago.
Take care of yourselves!
Love,
Baby Claire (as Tom used to call me)

Party on! Mr. Dodd. One of the best remembering Tom from RHS.

I worked with Tom for many years at Community High. I shall remember many good laughs we had together with his amazing stories. I am so sorry I shall not be able to come to his birthday party on Sunday, but you will be in my thoughts and prayers. God bless.

I workedwith Tom for many years on matters important to WARSP. He was a VERY special person and will be sorely missed by hundreds of people who knew him

I was a student teacher under Tom at Earthworks and enjoyed his ebullient personality and creativity. We worked together later when he was on the Board of the Washtenaw Council for the Arts. After living out of state for many years, my husband and I happened to see him at a store in the fall, and he amazed my husband but delighted me with the big bear hug I received instantly. He liked people and they liked him back. I am so sorry for your loss and will miss him.

I always knew I would get a hug when I saw Tom at a distance, and he never failed me. He was responsible for my joining the Ann Arbor Public Schools. I had been hired at Kingswood when he urged me to join him at Pioneer. I did and never regretted it. He was full of fun and dedication to whatever he undertook. He certainly was loved by his students and colleagues. He was wonderful at making everyone feel included in whatever undertaking he was a part of. I still have a paper weight he...

Dear Bettie and Greg. I was shocked to read about, Tom and your dad. Bettie, you and Tom were so supportive and kind to Bob during his illness. Tom took me under his wings when I was new to the area when I took a position with the Chamber. He introduced me to a fabulous place that included a personal tour, called Depot Town. Tom wrote an article about Bob in the Depot Town Rag and Bob treasured his words of kindness. My heart cries for you and your families. I hope to give you a hug, soon!
